Revelation 2:23-24 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. We often hear, It is true if it is true for you. The Bible tells us that there are moral absolutes independent of what we think is right. The Bible teaches us there is absolute right and wrong. Without moral absolutes, no one can say anything is right or wrong. The Bible tells us that there is only one mediator between God and man and that mediator is Jesus Christ. It is not a priest, a Bishop, or a Pope. It is not even a pastor, an apostle, or a prophet. It is only Through Christ Himself that grace may be found leading to eternal life. Those who deny this truth deny the faith. In these perilous times of apostasy, let us diligently contend for the faith as believers. Lets be aggressive soulwinners, because we wont have a chance to witness to lost sinners anymore once we get to Heaven. Lets stay on our knees in prayer and live in the Word of God daily. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing ... Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples” (John 15:5,8). For what purpose do people suppose that ministers are sent forth? Is it merely to wear ecclesiastical vestments—and read the services—and preach a certain number of sermons? Is it merely to administer the sacraments, and officiate at weddings and funerals? Is it merely to get a comfortable living, and be in a respectable profession? No, indeed! Luke 3:4 says: As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Matthew 4:17 Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. We are sent forth for other ends than these. We are sent to turn people from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God. We are sent to persuade people to flee from the wrath to come. We are sent to draw people from the service of the world to the service of God—to awaken the sleeping, to arouse the careless—and by all means to save some. (1 Cor. 9:22.) Today some minister are turning the church into another thing, some have made the church so worldly than godly, some have made the church a business center and den of thieves. Let it never be forgotten that the chief object of a minister of the Gospel is to set forward the salvation of souls and not exploiting and abusing the privileged of the call. PRAYER We beseech Thee, our most gracious God, to preserve us from the cares of this life, lest we be too much entangled therein. AMEN.
