My Name is Jim Beckwith,the Son of Beloved Lawrence Beckwith. Today we have come to give honor and respect for my Father who lived a life with The Lord our Saviour in his heart. He dedicated his Life to Jesus almost 60 years ago before I was born. He is survived by his Wife Mildred Beckwith and my Mother Millie,his 4 children Diane Larry Linda and Me. His grand children of 6 Mary Ellen Humphrey Brandon Beckwith and Heather Beckwith on my side,and Julie Sellers ,Tim Sellers and Logan Beckwith. And his 5 great Grand Children we all love and cherish as much as him. My Dads illness was unexpected when we found out he was very sick with Aortic Stenosis around 2 months ago which he sort of kept secret. Dad didnt want to be deemed sick or give much attention to himself,thus he was practicing humbleness and meekness. He did not want a viewing here as well for those reasons. My Dad was a man of character and understandong,a soldier for 6 years in WW2 he surved his country with a drive to protect this country from Tyranny and for freedom for ll us Americans. He was Honorably discharged after 6 years of service and I Thank you Dad for your service to this country. You taught me how to play baseball at 5,and by 7 years old yu tasught me how to pitch and throw curve-balls sliders and all sorts. Dad you were a great athlete who devoted his time NOT to sports,but working to provide for us and leaving Mom taken care of in her last Days,and for that I thank you and Honor you for that too. You were fantastic Bowler in the senior league carrying a 200+ scratch average one year AFTER you retired from over 30 years in federal work. I love you Dad and you will always be in my heart and memories forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 - SAYS For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. and Romans 14:8 - For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lords. And my Dad did live for the Lord and I can proudly say that. And we know that God has taken Larry up to heaven as Luke 23:43 - SAYS And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. And we know 1 Corinthians 15:51 - Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. So today I salute this Soldier, Provider Loving Man for being there for me and raising me up to Fear the Lord and obey his word and Trust in Jesus thru all things/ Mark 9:23 reads Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Thank you all for coming and sharing with us today this Man of God who I call My Dad.... Ecclesiastes 12:7 - Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
