Revelation 3:8 I know you works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name. One of the enemys greatest weapon is shutting doors of opportunity. He bound Joseph, the 3 hebrews, David, Paul & Silas, they trusted in God, they had seen evidence before that He had great plans for their lives, they knew they were destined for greatness, but nothing seemed to be going on well, they may have been tempted to give up on God, but they held on to the promises of God knowing that in due season & in the fulness of time they shall without fail come to pass. Sometimes we read the word telling us of all the wonderful promises God has instore for His children but at times we doubt all this being real because what we may be going through currently is quite opposite of what the promises say. The devil tries by all means to talk us out of our dream, place stumbling blocks in our path, objects that will try to make us give up on our God-given destiny, he will give us shortcuts, easy ways out of our situations, later on to find out we have been robbed. The reason why the enemy is fighting you is because he knows that heaven has planted seeds of greatness in you as long as you stay on track, your dream shall surely come to pass. Holding on is difficult & painful, but it is worth it, sometimes we grow weary & feel like giving up, basing our decisions on reasoning & emotion will lead us to think we have nothing to lose yet the decisions we make will have a lifelong impact. At Jesus baptism & transfiguration, a voice proclaimed This is my beloved son in whom i am well pleased, when satan was looking for prey, The Lord asked satan, have you considered my servant Job, meaning Gods watchful eye is upon they that choose to trust Him, every tear, every moment of despair, every failed attempt is in His records & in due season He will give us beauty for ashes. Never worry about the shut door when you know who holds the key. Be blessed.
