Revelation S “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one - TopicsExpress

Revelation S “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” Rev 21:21 Again we see the phrase “ clear as glass” describing the city. It must be very impressive. Notice that there are 12 gates mentioned again as in verse 12. We discussed the purpose of gates… to regulate or limit access into the city. They are guarded and controlled by 12 angels that are at each gate. So, not all the residents on the new earth will be granted access into the New Jerusalem. You may wonder why? The answer is in a statement that Jesus said… “Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Joh_14:6 So you will ask… why? Where is the Father? “I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.” Rev 21:22 AND “There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it…” Rev 22:3 These angels will be looking for the “mark” or the “seal of the Holy Spirit” on the “born again” believers. “…who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.” 2Co_1:22 AND “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,” Eph_1:13 It is time to think in “Kingdom thinking”…
