Revenge and the inability to forgive will get the best of you! When you feel that someone has wronged you and you find you cant bring yourself to forgive them, or when you consider getting back at them, that evil spirit will consume you. It will harden your heart and steal your blessing. It will invoke pridefulness and jealousy. Dont believe me? Take a look at Joab. Joab was a man of God. He was the commander of Gods Army; a courageous fighter! Can you image leading Gods Army? Can you imagine walking into battle knowing the Arc of the Covenant of with you? Knowing that you have the Power of God on your side? Joab had that, knew that, and yet, in the end, revenge and the inability to forgive destroyed him. His brother was killed by Abner in battle. Joab couldnt forgive Abner and although he was pardoned by the King, Joab plotted and killed Abner in a time of peace. His revenge and inability to forgive cost him his position. So Amasa took over Gods Army. Pride and jealousy took over Joab again and he killed Amasa. Joab went from blessed to cursed. From leading Gods Army to losing his blessing. Revenge, the inability to forgive, pride and jealousy can destroy Gods best soldiers! I encourage you today if you are holding on to a grudge against someone to find it within your heart to forgive them. Pray and ask God to help you lift this burden. Do whatever you need to do to hold on to your salvation. Forgiving will bless you, take a sinful weight off your shoulders, and soften your heart. Its a sign of agape love, pure love, the love your heavenly Father and Savior gives freely to you. #itsyrtime to open your heart and #forgive.
