Review #230: Last Vegas Bubba Hangover. Ageing stars Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, and Kevin Kline join up for an hilarious road-movie romp to Sin City, before one gets married. Sound familiar? Most likely. Plot-wise this is a run-of-the-mill getting the band back together flick (friends reunite, conflict between one or more, et.) but made great with genuinely funny moments that few of its ilk can boast. And most of the laughs go to the mildly under-used Kevin Kline, in one of his best and funniest turns since A Fish Called Wanda. Using an aged plot formula, but with some spry young laughs in it yet, Last Vegas is a subtle treat for anyone in need of a good old laugh. VERDICT: 3/5
