Review : ExpertPower® 37 Dual Band Stainless Steel Whip Mobile Antenna PL-259 tinyurl/lgthb8u This is a nice antenna that offers excellent performance, excellent fit and finish for a very reasonable price. Ive owned Comet, Diamond and others, and this antenna is the equal inside every way. It improves my RX and TX markedly over a much higher priced Comet Mag Mount that Ive been using. When used with a handheld, the signal is much cleaner than with the Mag Mount.I have a Tri-band from one of the enormous names that price tag well over a hundred bucks, and this antenna outperforms it across both the 2m and 70cm bands. The Tri-band is mounted on a very expensive trunk lip mount, this antenna is mounted high on a door lip mount. My spouse and i have both connected to Multi Band HF/UHF/VHF rigs and this one works very well. Product Features: Frequency Range: 144/430 MHz Impedance: 50 Ohm VSWR: less than 1.4 Gain: 3.5 dBi(144MHz) / 6 dBi(430MHz) Polizaration: Vertical Maximum Power Input-watts: 100 W Lightning Protection: Direct Ground Height: 37 Inches Radiating Element Material: Stainless Steel Connector: PL-259 My final thoughts : The 37 height keeps it from being excessively long and encountering overhead obstacles, while at the same time increasing gain over many other offerings. This antenna is worth every penny and then some. One drawback. This was shipped with a few other items throughout a triangular cardboard shipping tube from USPS. The Mail Carrier threw the box over the fence into the yard, and it landed right on one end, causing the top section of the antenna to bend. My spouse and i was able to straighten it without too much trouble. That Mail Carrier gets no Christmas present from me! .
