Revisit Confab recommendations, cleric advises FG As Nigerians wait for the Federal Government to take its stand on the recommendation by delegates to the concluded National Conference, the Anglican Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of Aba, Bishop Ikechi Nwachukwu Nwosu, has advised the Federal Government to urgently tidy up the recommendations from the Conference. Nwosu gave the advice in an interview with the Daily Independent in Umuahia during the commissioning of the Administrative block built at the Saint Silas Anglican Church in Old Umuahia. Nwosu, who also doubles as the Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, said if the Federal Government should revisit the recommendations by the delegates to the national conference, “It would help move the country forward. “The President, Goodluck Jonathan, has done very well, even his initiation for the National Conference, something came out of that exercise, somebody like me would have expected that the exercise would have been tidied up first, because, it would help the country move forward.” Nwosu reasoned that since the outcome from the national conference formed the views of the majority of Nigerians, hence it would have been tided up before the 2015 general election. “Some of the things that rose from the national conference would have been addressed, like the Boko Haram, because it is unattended, and it then seems to mean to them that since they don’t want to listen to us, then what do we do; that seems to be their language. “What will it cost us if we make a u-turn or wait a moment to address the issues that came up from that conference before the election; let’s do the first thing first”.
