Revival is renewed life; "... faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead" (James 14:17). But the works are not dead works to gain salvation again – the living work of salvation has been done by Jesus our Christ. The word for revival today is: Revive good works out of faith in God. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God ... that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16a & 17). The written word is profitable for instruction (teaching / learning), for proof (evidence), for redirection (direction), for instruction in righteousness. When the written word comes alive in your life, good works will follow. Jesus said, "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38).
