Revolution begins with orientation. The hausa man, yoruba man, igbo man ,ijaw man, or anyother tribe is not the enemy of Nigeria. The enemies are those wholl rather die than see her develop, those who subject the people to hardship, those who see the people as nothing but a tool to obtain power, those who swore to serve her but made her their slave. We are killing ourselves over nothing. Those political parties, tribal and religious divisions are chains to keep us as slaves forever. They are catalysts for our unending indegenous war. We kill ourselves while the looting continues. Irrespective of party or political affiliation, the enemy of this nation today are the political class. Both the ruling and the opposition cannot give us the Nigeria of our dream. We are treated as barbarians because our method of leadership selection is sentimental inclined and not integrity based. Our definition of leadership is far from laudable. A thief from our tribe/religion is to be considered than credibility from a strange land. Same thief will punish us for our foolishness when giving power. Credibility as defined by the average Nigerian is ironical. One who makes unending promises and maybe shares little money defines good leadership choice for these youths. What then is credibility with respect to leadership? Credibility entails Tested and proven but unfortunately the people we categorize as tested and proven are nothing but mediocres in real society. We clamour for change but we are not ready. The change we seek will not come in 2015 irrespective of whoever wins the election. Our orientation is still below modern civilization set point. Our concept of democracy is embarassing. Democracy is best practiced in the mind and not on Tv, radio, Journals, or other mediums of propaganda. Only a conscience nortured by the truth can practice true democracy. -Japhet Agbamu
