We marginalise the poor at our peril, Lay all the ills of the world at their door. Rise up, A new order, Rise up, Disorder, Theres revolution on the wind. When the burden of debt, Stretches to cosmic numbers, When people are burdened, With blame, Shamed with foreclosure, Cursed with unemployment. When all but the New Gods, Can be termed the new poor, People are polarised, Disenfranchised, Capitalistic laissez-faire, Free trade economics, Which held so much promise, Turns sour in our bellies, Trickle down economic theory is unmasked, A sad joke, As the masses are urinated on from above. Theres revolution on the wind! London burns, The city is humbled, The Arab spring, Subverted by Jihadis, Europe shivers, Washington sits smoking nonchalantly, Astride a powder keg. In the East , The dragon coils protectively, About its horde of receipts, Its harvest of debt, Nothing and no one is immune from the contagion, Theres revolution on the wind!
