Rewind is a brand new dystopian Sci-Fi thriller for 2014, written - TopicsExpress

Rewind is a brand new dystopian Sci-Fi thriller for 2014, written to redress the balance between a multitude of epic fantasy series hitting our screens in recent years and the great SciFi multi-part classic not seen since the days of Star Wars. Painting a bleak vision of a post-apocalyptic dystopia ruled over by The Company, the Rewind script book (available to buy or sample through rewindthemovie.net or Amazon) has been described as a curious mixture of Blade Runner and Scary Movie, referring to the dark humour interwoven with a plot full of shocking twists which will make you laugh, jump and cry in equal proportions right until the very end - and if it doesnt, a couple of droids from the department of corrections will be around to sort you out. Think Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy meets 1984. Rewind is SciFi on a large scale, and is not simply aimed at a single media format, which is why I will be seeking financing through Indiegogo in stages. A trilogy of script books - the first of which has already been published and is available in both Kindle and paperback format from Amazon and the official project website at rewindthemovie.net - will be turned into a full cast audio pilot featuring celebrity voices, and then a video trailer to be used to raise media attention and funds for production of an independent mini-series. Work is also underway separately on an interactive version of Rewind for PC, Mac and mobile devices, which I hope to release later in the year. Any money raised through crowd-funding will be used first to finance production of the audio pilot, with any extra funds going toward bringing the video trailer and a finished version of Rewind to the screen - and if theres anything left over which we cant use, after costs and expenses have been taken into consideration, itll go directly to Cancer Research UK along with personal profits from the books, audio play, film sales and interactive novel.
