Rhodes Confession 6635 As someone who has suffered from - TopicsExpress

Rhodes Confession 6635 As someone who has suffered from depression in the past multiple times, Id like to shed some light on what really helped me at Rhodes. You need to create a life outside of University life. What I mean by this is you need to get out of the little bubble that you get placed in when you arrive here. Its not ignorance or anything, it happens to everyone. Work gets hard, everyone is all up in each others business etc. If you do not have a safe haven or space that you can escape to, you may find yourself in that downward spiral of inward projection. I found that simply meeting people in town who werent students and going places where know-it-all students were not, I started to see the bigger picture again. In short, being in a small town can drive you insane, and you need to find something truly intrinsically special to you that allows you to be happy. Do what makes you happy and dont give a feck.
