RiSE can’t thank you enough for sharing the incredible experience of the first-ever RiSE Lantern Festival. We continue to be awed and inspired by the stories you have shared with us and are grateful that you are willing to open a window into these spiritual and life-changing stories. Our goal for the event has always been, and will continue to be, to create an environment worthy of those experiences. The venue for the event is part of what makes the experience so magical and we are living up to our commitment to leave the area better than we found it. We engineered the lanterns to land within a tight radius of the venue to ensure that we could capture and clean up more than 99% of the lanterns, which are also biodegradable to further ensure we leave nothing behind. Not only did we clean up the lanterns but we also filled an additional 50 pickup truck loads of garbage that was there before the event. The beautiful desert is now cleaner than before the festival. Our team planned and prepared extensively for this event, yet we experienced some unforeseen technicalities. It was utterly heartbreaking to share the awe-inspiring evening with you as you sent your hopes and dreams skyward and then witness the frustration and anger over the transportation confusion. Our entire team was there for the duration trying to coordinate buses and crowds and we can assure you we were as frustrated as you were. We are all committed to ensuring that the RiSE experience lives up to your expectations and assure you that we will have the right contractors and providers in place going forward to make that possible. While we love hearing the positive stories from the event and encourage you to continue to share your stories and photos on social media, we are also eager to hear from you about the challenges and frustrations you experienced so we can fix the problems.
