Ricardo De Oliveira (UNISA LLB) final year VC CT student, returned from the Netherlands in July 2014, after attending a Pubic International Law course at the Hague Academy of International Law. This prestigious academy is situated at the Peace Palace in the Hague and is also the home of the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Ricardo was one of two South Africans who were selected to attend together with 300 others from 90 different countries. It was his first experience of International Law at work and one that he will cherish for the remainder of his professional and personal life.
