Rice harvest activities involving tourists and Unduk Ngadau competition are among the attractions to enliven the proposed state-level Tadau Kaamatan festival this year. As we are all aware, the Harvest Festival theme for this year is Culture: Foundation of Peace and Friendship, or in Kadazandusun language Koubasanan: Koimpoon do Piunungan om Piombolutan. The theme was chosen due to its suitability with the current situation and the importance for every citizen to have good understanding among each other. Plus, culture is one of the aspects of life that are useful to foster the spirit of unity, friendship and brotherhood . In this opportunity, we are pleased to announce that BConnect: Malaysia Borneo Cultural Festival is working hand in hand with Kota Marudu District Level Kaamatan Harvest Festival to create a strong cultural bond and create significant impact in supporting the celebration of Visit Malaysia Year. With the theme “…bridging cultures and traditions,” and endorsed by Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, Malaysia Borneo Cultural Festival is an inaugural event with the aim to build unity, understanding and strong bond between Malaysian in line with the 1Malaysia concept.
