Rich Deneka will Lead a run for CPL Garabrant on Thursday July 3. I appreciate Rich stepping up to lead a group, and he will meet at the Epping Legion at 1715 for KSU at 1730. This will get us to ConVal High School at about 1900. Manchester area folks can meet us along HWY 101 as we pass. OBITUARY: Corporal Brandon John Garabrant, 19, of Greenfield died on June 20, 2014 in Helmand Providence, Afghanistan. He was killed in action and will be remembered as the hero that he is. He was born in Nashua on November 11, 1994 to John Garabrant and Jessie Evans. Brandon lived a life of giving and helping. In addition to his commitment to the United States Marine Corp, Brandon began an early ministry of service to others. As a young teenager, he joined the Peterborough Fire Explorer Post and the Peterborough Police Explorer Post. Later, he became a member of the Temple Volunteer Fire Department. He was active in the Jaffrey Bible Church, as a member of the Youth Group. He was also a missionary for a summer with CEF and volunteered at Monadnock Bible Center. Brandon worked at Touchstone Farm in Temple and at Summer Hill Retirement in Peterborough. He was also an intern at the Department of Transportation Highway Shed in Greenfield. He was a 2013 graduate of ConVal High School, where he was a goalie for the Boys Varsity Ice Hockey Team, and played football and lacrosse. In addition to his parents, Brandon is survived by his sister Mykala Garabrant, his brother Jacob Garabrant, his paternal grandparents Judy Garabrant of Peterborough and Kenneth Garabrant of Center Harbor, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Regina Evans and Charles R. Evans, Sr. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 3rd from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at ConVal High School, 184 Hancock Road, Peterborough, NH. A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 5th at 10:00 AM at ConVal High School. Burial will immediately follow the service in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH. Jellison Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
