Richard E. Dickie Haddad, 61, of Monaca, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, January 13, 2015, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Born August 29, 1953, in Conway, he was a son of George Haddad of Pittsburgh and the late Norma Tokatch. An avid sports fan, Dickie was also a strong supporter of Special Olympics and volunteered each year. Dickie was formerly employed for US Airways and PennDot. In addition to his father, Dickie is survived by two daughters, Rachelle and Stephanie Haddad; two grandchildren, Dorian and Hailey Haddad, all of Center Township; a brother, Fred (Debbie) Haddad of Bradenton, Florida; a sister, Barbara (Randy) Jury of Negley, Ohio, and multiple good friends including Ralph Strano in Kentucky. Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael George Haddad. Friends will be received Saturday, January 17, 2015, from 2 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 4 p.m. in the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca (724-728-4000). Pastor Paul Strano, of New Life Assembly of God in Conway, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant Street, 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
