Richard Pryor was a true social scientist...who found a way to put in perspective the failures of society and individuals ....A whole genre of comedy was introduced through his own form of self-therapy ...which became the therapy for many people and most AFRICAN-AMERICANS.(BLACK COMEDY) Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock, Mike Epps, Eddie Griffin all utilize his concept.........but I wonder if they really understand that HE WANTED HIS THERAPY TO BE THERAPY FOR OTHERS..thus we have this form of comedy where you LEARN TO LAUGH AT WHAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED TRAGEDY In MOST CASES.
