Richmond Engine wants to remind all Staten Islanders to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when they change their clocks for the start of Daylight Saving Time on Sun., March 9. The FDNY Fire Safety Education Unit will be distributing alarm batteries and fire safety information in different languages on Sat., March 8, 2014. At Target, located 2900 Veterans Road West, 12 to 4 p.m.
