Rick Twombley, Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Arts Management graduate has been incredibly successful since graduation! He quickly earned his Actor’s Equity Card, and mastered careers as a dancer, actor, singer, choreographer and aerialist, work that took him to all 7 continents by the time he was 25. Rick has worked in almost every conceivable venue of entertainment, from Broadway to theme parks, cruise ships to Vegas spectaculars, as well as in movies and television. He has appeared in musicals such as “La Cage aux Folles” and “Tarzan,” and also worked for many years in stage shows for Disney such as Beauty and the Beast and Tarzan Rocks! in Florida, Encore: A Broadway Spectacular at TokyoDisney Sea, and originated the role of Tarzan at Hong Kong Disney when it opened in 2005. Rick added a new facet of performing to his career when he began training with Cirque du Soleil as an aerial performer. Other than Tarzan and Cirque, he worked as an guest entertainer/aerialist for Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Studio 54 in Las Vegas, Music Theater West and in the last Hunger Games movie. Rick has appeared on stage and in film with celebrities such as Neil Patrick Harris, Bette Midler, John Voight, Jennifer Lawrence, Billy Crystal, Marisa Tomei, Patrick Swayze, Liza Minnelli, Florence Henderson, and the legendary Carol Channing. After nearly 20 years, Rick “retired” from the life of a professional entertainer and started his own fitness company in Atlanta Georgia, Rick Twombley Fitness. He was named Atlanta’s Hottest Trainer in 2013, and currently holds the title of Atlanta’s “Man of the Year,” 2014, based on his positive standing in the community and work with various local charities. Rick still feeds his hunger for performing and dusts off his ballet slippers once a year as a guest artist in Atlanta Ballets “The Nutcracker,” portraying Sugar Plum’s Cavalier, and is a sought after choreographer for local Atlanta celebrities and dance companies.
