Rick been played. Obama out foxed him by: 1) Reciting all of his demands. This is a good lawyering technique to get his demands on the record and out in open so the goal post dont keep getting moved. Its also good psychological technique. Now Rick, this is what I hear you saying... 2) Agreeing to all of his demands, calling those demands reasonable, praising them even and giving Perry some props in the process. 3) Letting him know that all of those solutions are on the bill that Congress needs to pass. Woops, bet Rick never even saw that coming. What? The Obama Administration has been all over this problem and they already have all of Perrys issues addressed and with the same solutions? Damn, feel foolish yet Rick? 4) Putting Governor Perry along with the entire Texas Delegation on notice that they all need to support the bill and demand their teabagger friends in Congress vote for it. 5) And then use the subsequent press conference to tout his rather impressive record on immigration and explain how we wouldnt even know about this current crisis with all of these children without his increase in border patrol. This pits tea party values against tea party candidates like Rick Perry. This picture really demonstrates Ricks quandary here. Meanwhile Obama looks like he just said: Check and check mate Rick, I give in to all of your demands, were all over it, we already have the bill in front of Congress. Now whacha gonna do?
