Ride The Rockies Day 1 -Telluride to Cortez | 75 miles | Lizard Head Pass – 10,222 ft. Nice, easy start to the tour. Started with a climb out of Telluride that turned out to be easy. Great scenery as we rode up and over the pass. Then we settled into 55 or so miles of mostly downhill and east peddling. I felt like I was cruising at 25 MPH most of the day. Ended up in dry, desert like Cortez, CO where it was hot! Felt great at the end of ride but hanging around in the heat after the ride took a lot out of me. I ended up seeing Fast and Furious 6 at the downtown theater just to cool down. I like cars. There should have been more of them - they have more personality than Vin Diesel.
