Rider Profile: Albert Hintenaus KTM 450 Rally The 2014 Amageza Rally falls over Alberts Birthday so, if this experience Rally campaigner, does not have a stage victory to celebrate, he will still have an excuse to pop the bubbles. Albert has entered 3 Dakar Rallys, his first attempt, in 2007, ended on Stage 5 with a broken engine, in 2008 the last Afican Rally was cancelled. In 2011 Albert took on the Dakar in Argentina and Chile and finished an impressive 52nd. Albert has taken part in many other Rally events, in preparation for his Dakar attempts and has had successful results. Winning a stage in the 2008 Rally of Tunisia, finishing the 2008 Pharos Rally and a 10th place finish in the 2009 Pharos Rally. One of Alberts strong points is his navigation, having spent time in Italy working on the road book before the 2011 Dakar. This will be his first time on the Amageza and Im sure many of the other competitors will learn a lot from his International experience.
