Riders Keep Hopes Alive With A Win Over Ad-life Srinagar, September 28, 2013: Pride Riders (Rainawari) made a strong comeback in the ongoing Downtown Champions League (DCL) beating Ad-life Stars (Khayam) by 14 runs in match 41 played at Islamia College ground on Saturday. Batting first, Pride Riders posted a challenging total of 165/8 in the allotted 20 overs, thanks to Aditya Pratap’s 37-run ball fifty and all-rounder Aslam Bhat’s responsible knock of 42 runs in 47 balls. For Ad-life Stars Irfan Farooq claimed two wickets conceding 29 runs in his four overs while Sahil Sharma from Jammu took one wicket for 22 runs in his spell. Sahil Sharma top scored with 32 runs for Ad-life Stars but his all-round efforts could not save the team from yet another defeat in the DCL. Zubair Jeelani also chipped in with 21-ball 32 run innings. Ad-life scored only 151. Hashim bowled well for Pride Riders taking three wickets conceding only 19 runs in his quota of four overs. Somi Jain also claimed three wickets for 24 runs. Best Batsman and Highest Sixes awards went to Aditya Pratap, Hashim received Best Batsman award while Aslam Bhat got Player of the Match award.
