Ridicule of a religion is not the real reason behind the attack - it is a lie the whole world is trying to believe in, even the ones who admit ordering and committing the crime. In case, by the movement of #Jesuischarlie, Western elite is trying to teach the rest of the world a lesson on humor or on the freedom of expression - they are addressing the issue aggressively. The issue, however, is much bigger than Muslim misunderstanding of and brutal reaction to humor. Here, I would kindly remind you about European ban on public use of Muslim full-face veil - Niqab, due to possible threat it poses to a non-Muslim community. Woman with initials SAS protested against the discrimination of her right to free expression. If we are principally on the side of freedom of expression, why hasnt the movement #JesuisSAS started? (Well, its an arguable point, in a way that there was no sentimental tone of massacre of working white men with families left grieving involved in this case, but only a fair discrimination of Muslim women representing their identities) m.bbc/news/world-europe-28106900 The movement following the massacre passive-aggressively drags us into a war, in which we have no conscious intentions to participate. Fear and loathing of Muslim terrorism has remained in our brains for decades, not to question the real reasons behind the war. It does not really matter whether you fight with pencils or keyboards, you are still engaged in the war of ideologies, intended against the guns, but actually - alongside them. Your real stand against guns is not with pencils, showing how educated you are compared to them, but rather with giving opportunities to the Muslims living in European countries, integrating them within the societies instead of isolating and mocking them in the shadows of your greatness. This elitist way of putting Western nationalism on the pedestal leads to the suicide of a civilization so proud of patiently building itself. There will be nobody to blame for the destruction except yourselves for not coming to a better solution but rather a proud one - to fight the ones who need their own freedom not your pencil nervously pressing against their foreheads. By this discussion, I do not mean to show support to any of the sides, as long as both of them are in war with one another. With pencils, laws, or guns, they are trying to oppress each others rights to life and freedom of expression. #justquestioneverything
