Ridiculous! They are slowly disappearing and no one seems to care. However, the statement about pet store not selling them is stupid. There are breeders and also pets that people resale. If you stop selling legal ones in pet stores, the demand for illegal ones goes up. So that comment is stupid. But seriously, they arent an easy or cheap species so we need to stop the masses of them being taken from the wild.
