Right as we moved into our new house, I received a call from CPS. - TopicsExpress

Right as we moved into our new house, I received a call from CPS. Someone had reported that I was neglecting my children. This was my second report in a year. It was devastating for me because I do everything for my children. They are my life. The social worker came over and agreed that my kids were not neglected and seemed happy, healthy and well cared for. Yesterday that same social worker called to tell me he had bags and bags of presents to give to my children and that I could pick them up so they would be from me. With Joel skipping child support payments, I hadnt been able to my children a lot. Just a couple things per child to open on Christmas morning. Because of this kindness though, under our tree will be overflowing. There is an abundance of gifts from skateboards and baseball bats to Legos and wrist watches to block sets and art kits. So to whoever decided to turn me in for neglect... Thank you. To a system that really is trying to help children and families, thank you. And to the social worker (whom I wont tag because I would hate to embarrass him) who made sure my children have gifts aplenty, thank you. Maybe there is hope for humanity yet.
