Right before bed I got the e mail letting me know that Adobe LR5 is now available. This makes sense as over the past two weeks they ran a huge sale on LR4 and a bunch of people thought it was a good deal. This is the second time they have done this where they sell the old version for much less right before the new one comes out. Here is the bottom line. If you buy LR5 new its $149 and if you upgrade from LR4 its only $79. This is not expensive at all for a tool that we all use day in and day out for our images. What it seems like is LR5 is much faster in culling your images and generating previews. This is a welcomed advance as LR4 was extremely slow to work with. Some of the new healing brush features are definitely a step in the right direction as you need to rely on Photoshop less and less for certain photography touch ups. I am not sure if I will update today but I probably will this week. Will you be upgrading???
