Right everybody, time for me to put the begging bowl out, but its not for the reason you are thinking. As everyone is aware, the way the traditional media acted during the last weeks of the referendum was nothing short of shocking. Whilst I can understand and appreciate that privately owned newspapers and broadcasters may very well want to put their own spin on things, the BBC was so biased that a lecturer from the University of Scotland was able to publish a paper showing categoric proof of bias. That aside..... Should we ever again look for an independence referendum we need to already be building the groundwork to help the elderly become better informed. As we all know many of the elderly ONLY digest their news from traditional media and as a consequence the ONLY news they consume is filled with bias. Over the past few weeks you have seen me speaking about DateLineScotland, a parody show that was supposed to be aiming shots at a failing media. Ironically it was this failing media that massively influenced the referendum and as such our future. The guys behind DateLineScotland are looking at creating a real, proper news program backed up with proper real journalists that show the news from the POV of the Peoples of Scotland. One thing I will say is that this isnt a pro YES media, it is simply a news program that aims to be free from bias and show the news that is important to us. These guys need to raise £10k to get this news program up off the ground. £10K between 10,000 people is a pound each. Can you imagine how much of a future benefit your £ could be worth to the Scottish Peoples. £10k is the minimum and anything over the £10k will go a long way to help them ensure the program takes off.
