Right then... I am launching a new alias called Joheja, which will showcase my deeper, textured side from now on. To launch this, I’ve created a mix for you all, and it’s pretty special. It’s just shy of an hour long, 12 of my favourite progressive tracks of the past 10 years, some of which youll all know, some of which are not so obvious. They have been sprinkled with touches of classic progressive records, such as Xpander, Cass & Slide’s Glad I Ate Her and even Candi Staton’s You Got The Love. The art of mixing has been lost a little nowadays with tracks becoming shorter and mixing getting less existent. So the idea behind this mix was to constantly layer records together throughout the mix as I wanted to make all the tracks sound like new edits. Every track needed to fit perfectly with each other, so the 4 to 6 minute mixes actually make the records sound like new, edited versions. I hope you enjoy it :) For all those who want to check out my deeper side live, Ill be playing alongside Guy J in my hometown of Birmingham, UK on 6th December. 1. Arthur Oskan - Omegaman 2. Michael Mayer - Voigt Kampff Test (Barnt Mix) 3. Rishi K - Transient Day (Van Bellen remix) & Paolo Mojo - 1983 (Eric Prydz remix) 4. Ignas - Scorpio & Sasha - Xpander 5. Cirez D - Raptor & London Grammar - Hey Now (Sasha remix) 6. Gai Barone - Mr Slade 7. Jeremy Olander - Norrsken 8. On Spec - Knights Of Columbos 9. Guy J - Lost & Found & Cass & Slide - Glad I Ate Her 10. Orbital - Halcyon (Dezza Bootleg) 11. Digitalism - Circles (Jeremy Olander remix) 12. Paolo Mojo & Jim Rivers - Ron Hardy Said (Eric Prydz remix) & Candi Staton - You Got The Love
