Right then. This may come across as a bit odd to some of you, but after some serious thought, and in line with moving back to Edinburgh, I have decided to put aside Facebook and all other social media in favour of a less tech driven / ruled life. It may not be forever, because promising such things is foolish... However, the trend of staring at screens has gone too far for me - it has been fun, educational and allowed me to keep in touch with many people I respect and love, but the bad things about it outweigh the good. In the last 7 years I have read less books, written less words and thought less about what really matters than I care to admit. One reason for this is my dependence and addiction to being on here every day, compelled to see what you were doing, and self-absorbed enough to show you what I was doing. I think we need the mystery and beauty back in life. Well, I do. You make your own mind up. I will still be here - so if youd like to have a proper relationship I will still have the same email and phone number. If you dont have either then ask me before midnight when I pull the plug.
