Riley has a pretty easy last quarter of his senior year. They have block scheduling (fewer classes, but for longer periods of time). He has Chorus, Health, P.E. and Service Learning (he is a teacher’s assistant). This morning we were talking: Me: So, how is your stressful last quarter of school? (sarcastically asked) Riley: Really hard. I counted marshmallows. (he laughs) Me: Did you just say you counted marshmallows? Riley: (still laughing) Yep, I am helping Mrs. “X” get a project together. I had to count 75 marshmallows per bag. Counting is hard. I ran out of marshmallows. Me: Were you stressed when you ran out of marshmallows? Riley: Definitely (still laughing) Me: What do your friends think of your difficult schedule? Riley: They hate me (laughing still). They are in Physics and Calculus. I get to sing, play in gym, help a teacher and take some notes in health. I’m lovin’ life. Me: *sigh*
