Rileys still having some great days! Happy mom! He ended the week on a great note and worked hard. Friday afternoon he wanted to go watch the VA high school volleyball girls play in the Regional playoff game in Midlothian. Loved watching the girls play and Rileys friends moving from where they were to where he was. He couldnt get to where the students were so his friends came to him to watch the game. That meant everything to me. The little things are so important. We enjoyed a great dinner after the game with most of VA but I think the best part was the ride over and back in the van with Chris and Sherri. To listen to Riley and Chris is extremely entertaining and keeps us all laughing! They have been our friends since we were in high school. Thankful for their friendship. We are closing in on a year since Rileys accident and at times it seems a lifetime ago but anxious to get the first year behind us. I think its causing me to be a little more emotional than usual! During the laughter Friday night on the way home I was reminded of a toaster we used at BIR. I had forgotten about it and for a minute none of the months Riley was there seemed real. Amazing how far he has come and how we have settled into a new routine of our new life. Its not easy, his days are hard and they never end but he is amazing and makes this road we are all on something special. Blessings every day. Riley spent the rest of the weekend at home since its been cold and within the past hour it has started to snow! Hes hoping for no school tomorrow but I told him hes going and we both laughed! Please continue to pray for Riley. Pray for strength and continued health. Thankful for all his great days! He works hard every day and is so determined. Someday #hewill! Karla
