Ringing the Silent Bell on the Anthrax Shot (2001) Dover AFB, DE In the 1984 movie, Witness, the crucial scene shows an Amish boy ringing the farm bell to alert the neighbors to an emergency at the Lapp farm, in this case, criminal cops getting ready to murder the good cop, played by Harrison Ford. The response to the bell is electric and immediate. Local Amish farmers cock their ears, drop their tools, and double-time to the bell. Something is terribly amiss if this bell is ringing inappropriately, and to protect the community, everyone who can hear the bell responds to investigate. Soaring music accentuates the hopefulness and the unselfishly righteous nature of this communal act of self-protection. With dismay, I must report many have rung the warning bell on the anthrax inoculation program, but few in the community have raced over to confront the pending emergency. The bell rings, but it rings in silence when those paid to hear and heed it do not cock their ear, do not drop their farm tools, and do not respond to the bell. On the anthrax program, the bad cops are being left to do as they wish with impunity. Now, it is possible that the neighbors respond to find the bell ringing has been a mistake, that there is not an emergency, and thus no need to raise a general alarm. This is possible on the anthrax inoculation issue, but not likely when we consider the number of seemingly unchallenged and unexplained red flags on this issue. 1. An Air Force wing commander calls an unprecedented “Time Out” on the shot, stopping the program on his base. No military commander has ever made such a call. 2. An Air Force major at the same base requests a Court Martial in defiance of the inoculation order, joining hundreds of others widely spread throughout all the services in refusing the shot. This general uprising against a shot, and a field grade officer refusing to take it is, again, unprecedented. 3. The Air Force then denies the resisting officer due process by declaring the inoculation order legal and disallowing any challenge to it at the trial, placing the Air Force, and the order, above the law. 4. Forty percent of reserve pilots at the same wing leave the unit rather than take the shot, a horrendous loss of national defense capability and investment, and a significant individual repudiation of the program. This also made the unit incapable of performing its assigned mission although this fact is never acknowledged or reported as the departed crew members were maintained on the roster as “ghost” members. 5. Out of just over 1000 shot takers on this same base, 160 persons file an adverse reaction report against the anthrax shot, compared to zero reports for every other shot given over the same period. 6. Military families requesting a parade permit to protest against the shot at the base’s main gate are denied that permit by the Air Force, denying one of the citizens’ rights the military is supposedly protecting. 7. Even after the above incidents, the Air Force does not investigate to discover and analyze the problem. Instead, it ignores it, covers up the losses, and denies there is an issue. 8. The Surgeon General of the Air Force comes to this troubled base and categorically denies that a suspected illegal substance is in the shot, or could conceivably be in the shot, yet it is. acidplanet/artist.asp?videos=542493&T=6354 9. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) discovers the illegal substance in some of the anthrax shots, the very factor all branches of government have strenuously denied as possible. This fact is not revealed for 18 months. 10. The two main program doctors disavow to the crews any knowledge of use of the illegal substance as an adjuvant, or shot booster; yet in 2002 both submitted experimental vaccine proposals to the FDA using that substance as a booster. 11. The alignment of the illegal substances in progressive lot numbers found by the FDA points to a standard scientific vaccine experiment (dose range study), yet no one, again, seems interested in challenging this either. 12. While demanding peer reviewed standards of its critics, government official will not allow application of peer review standards to this vaccine program, forbidding vaccine field testing at the end of the chain of custody. 13. The government provides its own favorable statistics on the program, but will not allow outside verification except for select committees who are totally dependent upon the government for input. 14. Peer reviewed scientific literature shows that some shot takers have developed antibodies to the illegal agent after taking the shot, despite testing negative for them before staring the inoculation sequence. 15. An unprecedented 18,000 military members are evacuated from the Middle East for non-combat related medical incidents during the first year of Operation Enduring Freedom against Iraq. The military will not release any particulars for why that number is so high, nor explain the specific medical evacuation reasons. 16. The military marvels at “mystery pneumonia” in combat area soldiers who have extraordinarily high levels of a particular type of white blood cell, a prime example of autoimmune disorders caused by the illegal substance. It promises to release autopsy results on those who died of this ailment, but never does. Despite these numerous peels of the alarm bell, those charged with listening for such bells have not shown up. Or, if they have shown up, have left without explanation. They have departed in silence without disputing, contradicting or explaining any of the above danger flags. Either they know, but will not speak, don’t know, or did not bother to investigate. So the bell rings silently, and an abomination goes unacknowledged and unopposed. It is as if every one of the Amish neighbors in Witness picked up their tools, went back to their task, and looked away from the travesty unfolding at the Lapp farm.
