Rinkhals shamming death during an attempted photo session on Saturday morning. Johan Marais, Stu Nielsen & myself tried to get a couple of shots of the Rinkie lying in a relaxed position (on its belly of course). Regrettably Mr Rinkhals had other plans. When we eventually managed to get him to stop making a hood & mock striking, he rolled over & delivered an Academy Award performance... What was remarkable though, was how he defecated on himself every now & then, and let his cloaca hang open during this display. The tip of the tail was also not still for a second, & the snake didnt think twice to bite this thing moving around near his open mouth.
