Rise! 1 Timothy 4:12 Never think that you’re too small to make difference. Paul encouraged Timothy in his first letter to him, saying ‘Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity’. The only requirement God calls for is an available and willing heart. There isn’t a tailored description of who God wants to use and if there is surely it’s written ‘YOU’. Don’t look at those He has already used and measure yourself with them in power, anointing, height, speech or even the colour of their eyes! You know why? Firstly, they are just human. Secondly, all these things don’t come from the men themselves, they come from God. We are all just vessels unto the Lord. What He does through us we can’t claim praise for it because we can’t explain where we get the anointing and glory without the Almighty God. It’s never about us and what we know and wise and strong we are, but it is about God and His purposes – where He will in the in the end reward us. A well-known person once said ‘if you think you’re too small to make a difference try sleeping with a mosquito’. Don’t despise yourself. Rise in the strength of God and allow Him to use you.
