Rishi and krishi Imagine our world without agriculture. It will stop and die. That is the power of agriculture. We must pay our gratitude to the father of agriculture or krishi viz the first ever Rishi Lord Rishabh. His contributions are so overwhelming both Saivites and Vainavites accepted Him as their Gods. The sainthood derived the name Rishi folowing his path of sainthood. The place he vsited or did his keshloch is called Rishikesh. His first entry to Himalayas is called Haridwar. His first sermon at Allahabad is celebrated as Kumbh mela even today. it was hailed as Tirthraj for the same reason. His parinirvan is called Shivyatri or Shivratri. The day he showed the way for livelihood is called Yugadi. One can go on. Each one of us owes to him as he is our first father, verily the Adam or or Manu. The species derived from Manu are manushya. jai Sri Rishabh, the Adi Nath or Adibhagwan so hailed in Tirukkural.
