Rituals we all have them, they define us. This is the time of year where we aim to redefine ourselves by either incorporating new rituals or eliminating the old. Thing is it has taken a lifetime to define who we are, and how we wound up here on this voyage in relationships that have us tossing about in a sea of indifference. So many new years’ resolutions revolve around bringing our bodies into submission to values that have clearly not computed up to this point of our journey. For this is a day where we are granted a dare to ourselves, so we boldly go to the bow as waves of doubt crash over it spraying mist in our eyes, and we wipe them away and raise our hands and point to new directions having mustered a resolute resolve to the challenge the uncharted waters of brighter horizons bring, for fortunes that have alluded us up to this point. Today is the day they walk the plank, say’s the mind haunted by ghosts of ambitions ghastly slaughtered by a motley crew of mutineers content on resting on their laurels of doubt, than sail on to discovering the fortunes a new world. I will no longer be prisoner on my ship, I am going to take it back and be captain of destiny, and any thought scheming to take my ship away from me, to imprison me from being free to getting closer to my world, will be an occasion for a new ritual, to forthwith cast that mutinous thought into the sea, to lighten the load for speed to my dreams, my destiny. Charge, no more waiting for your ship to come in, its a new world youre after, new destination, not a ship. Sail on and on and on...
