Rival families briefly clash in Beirut September 20, 2013 05:00 PM The Daily Star BEIRUT: Gunmen from two rival clans briefly clashed Friday in the Beirut southern suburb of Laylaki, a security source told The Daily Star, in their second skirmish in less than a week. There were no reports of casualties in the clash between the Zeaiter and Hajoula families which lasted around 10 minutes, the source added. The Lebanese Army deployed immediately to the area in order to restore to calm.
