River State Update UKWUOMA SUES FOR MASSIVE SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR AMAECHI The people of Rivers State have been called upon to continue to give support to Governor Chibuike Amaechi’s administration. Chairman of Etche Local Government, Mr. Reginald Ukwuoma who made the call at Okehi during the inauguration of the Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation (RIVLEAF), Etche Local Government Chapter, extolled Governor Amaechi for exhibiting qualities which epitomize good governance. He said Governor Amaechi deserved the support because he has excelled in delivering dividends of democracy, promoted justice and ensured prudent management of resources. Mr. Ukwuoma also called on people of Rivers State to rise against injustice as failure to do so would make the ills of the society to prevail. The Etche Local Government boss assured the State Governor of the continued support of good people of Etche, advising him to maintain the virtues which endear him to the people. Also speaking, the National President of (RIVLEAF), Chief Alex Wele charged the people of Etche not to join self seeking politicians to betray a Governor who has a passion to give Rivers State a face lift. Delivering a paper on ‘‘Good Governance, a panacea to sustainable development,’’ the Amaechi example, a renowned scholar, Mr. Jerome Okere remarked that with political will and approach, Governor Amaechi has revolutionized all sectors, in the State. The inauguration of the Etche Local Government Area Chapter of (RIVLEAF), was attended by eminent sons of Etche, including Prince Ogbonna Nwuke, member representing Etche Omuma Federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Chief Okey Amadi, Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources. Others were Mr. Victor Amadi, member representing Etche constituency 1 at State House of Assembly, Chief Nnamdi Okere, Special Adviser to the Governor on project monitoring and High Chief Nwuzi who served as the Chairman of the occasion.
