Riverfire 2013 road closures Police are reminding Riverfire revellers to be mindful of changed traffic conditions across the City, South Brisbane and FortitudeValley tonight. The following roads will be closed from 4pm to 11pm: • North Quay between Ann and Queen Sts and between Adelaide and Queen Sts. (buses excepted) • Adelaide Street between George St and North Quay • William Street between Elizabeth and Queen Sts (Riverside lanes only). • Queens Wharf Road between William St and the Commissariat Store turnaround The following road will be closed from 7:30pm to 8:30pm: • George St between Elizabeth and Queen Sts. • In addition, Adelaide St will be under police direction from 4pm until 9.30pm There will be no right turn onto Edward Street. The following conditions will apply on Bridges: • The Story Bridge will be closed to traffic from approximately 6:20pm til 8:00pm. As a result, the Ivory Street tunnel will also be closed at Boundary Street on the City side from 6:30pm hours to 8:00pm to prevent vehicles from entering and accessing the Story Bridge. • The Victoria Bridge will be closed from 4pm until 11pm to general traffic, but is available for pedestrian use. • The Goodwill Bridge will be closed to pedestrians from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. • The Captain CookBridge will remain open at all times, with some lane closures. • The Kurilpa Bridge will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
