Rkm writes: Well, for many of us, Usain Bolt became a household name after he broke the world record in 100 meters in Beijing in 2008. Proclaimed as the fastest man to have ever lived, Bolt continues to break and set new records leading the Jamaican team to lots of medals in competitions. What we know little about is the fact that at 16yrs, Usain Bolt won perhaps, more medals and set more astonishing records in the the youth edition of the athletics competition especially those in kingston-Jamaica. Yet, he received little recognition until the Beijing Olympics. Infact, All those records at the junior level would have amounted to nothing if he had not aimed higher and worked harder towards Beijing. Had he allowed the joy of those moments to sink into his head and sway him from the dream, the world would have missed out on his talents ..... Interestingly, Bolt is now a global icon and role model for young people.. You have a dream and surely your time will come. Do not give up but rather persist and endeavour to make them possible. Your sufferings today will be revered tommorrow. Your story will be told others... My reflections on 18th jan.. rkm
