Road accidents claim two lives, injure five in Kashmir: Two persons, including a 3-year-old girl died while five others were injured in different road mishaps across the valley, police said today. A motorcycle hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Akram Akhoon at Watkaloo, Chrar-i-Sharief. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Chadoora for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Three-year-old Rukhsar Nazir, a resident of Tumina, Handwara was injured when a load carrier hit her. She was shifted to Handwara hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. A truck collided with a tipper at Drugtango, Kangan, resulting in injuries to truck driver Mohammad Ashraf Sofi, resident of Urnhall, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kangan. A Sumo and a Santro car collided at Doolipora, resulting in injuries to four passengers, including the Santro driver. The injured were shifted to Handwara hospital for treatment.
