Road closure - Wouldham - From 7th July 2014 As a result of unexpected works by BT between Burham and Wouldham we are unable to run Service 155 buses to and from Maidstone through Wouldham and Borstal while these works are taking place. It is expected that the road closure will be in place until 10th July and it will be effective between the hours of 0930 and 1530 each day. The buses that run only between Chatham and Borstal will be unaffected and those running between Maidstone and Chatham will run as normal before and after the works take place each day. During the period of the works, buses will be affected as follows: Buses from Maidstone to Chatham will run to Burham as normal but will then turn round, return towards Maidstone and will then run via Blue Bell Hill, Bridgewood Roundabout and past Rochester Airport Industrial Estate to pick up their normal route at Warden Road before running through Rochester to Chatham. Buses from Chatham to Maidstone will run as normal to Maidstone Road, Rochester but, instead of turning into Priestfields, will continue past Rochester Airport Industrial Estate to Bridgewood Roundabout, Blue Bell Hill and then direct to Burham where they will turn and follow the normal route through Eccles and Aylesford to Maidstone. From 8th July we will also run an hourly shuttle bus between Chatham, Borstal and Wouldham. This will take the normal route from Chatham to Wouldham and will then run a loop around School Lane, Rochester Road and Knowle Road before returning to Chatham. We would apologise for any inconvenience caused by this road closure which is totally beyond our control.
