Road closures in the Desert Vista Neighborhood, Nov. 19 & 21 Oro Valley, Ariz. (November 13, 2013) – Roads within the Desert Vista Neighborhood subdivision will be closed on November 19 and 21, 2013, for pavement preservation treatment. This treatment, which requires roadways to be completely shut down for 24 hours, will greatly extend the life of the asphalt streets. Half of the roads will be treated on Nov. 19, and the other half on Nov. 21. See below for a detailed list as well as a neighborhood map. During the closures, residents may park on the roads not being treated. A free shuttle service will be provided from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please call 480-338-3254 for details on the shuttle. Please note that there may be times when the entire roadway is not passable and the shuttle may not be able to perform the service until the proper amount of pavement curing has taken place. If you will need access to your vehicle after 7 a.m. on the day of the closure, be sure to park outside the project area on the previous night. Motorists should be advised that attempting to drive on the wet pavement surfaces will cause vehicle and property damage. Please do not cross traffic controls and barricades, and be sure to obey all signs and construction personnel, as they are there for your safety. Children and pets should be kept away from the construction area, all sprinkler systems must be turned off and trash/recycle containers must be relocated.
