Road to Kiewkacham is very challenging. Not just physically - TopicsExpress

Road to Kiewkacham is very challenging. Not just physically challenging, but mentally as well. In Laos, the uphill could be as long as 30km with small descent and more climb after that. Altitude wise is close to Genting Highlands. Area was not as populated as southern region due to the location of the villages. Supplies are hard to come by and camping spots are rare. It is clear that people here lead simple but difficult lives. That and the lack of entertainment and minimal education adds to their hardship. However, the Hmong people are warm and friendly. Most are very open to foreigners passing by. And the view is spectacular. Countless mountains with a gigantic mountain in the middle of it all. Worth the sweat.
