Roadrunner Action: Volleyball, Tennis, Golf Last night the Girls Varsity Volleyball team defeated RB: 25–22 & 25–16. Leading the Lady Roadrunners were Tina Elstner with 9 spike kills, Julia Saunders with 9 spike kills, Troi Sharpp with 4 spike kills, Maeve Grimes with 11 assists, Riley Burchett with 10 digs, and Emma Decker with 15 assists and 5 serving aces. It was a good team effort. Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Tennis Team with a clean sweep against Bishop Mac. Great contributions by Molly Herr, Mary Malarkey, Katie Swade, Annalisa Pieranunzi, Abby Shannon, Alex Plenys, Addie Doyle, Julia Veome and Madi Lozanoski. And, sorry we missed this earlier this week… The Varsity Boys Golf team traveled to Fresh Meadows Golf Course in Westchester on Monday to play Morton High School. Under threatening skies and warm humid weather the Roadrunners defeated Morton 159-207. Medalist for the meet was Senior Michael Johnnnes, who shot a three over par (37) on the back nine. Other scores for the Roadrunners were: Roben Matta ‘15 (40), Aiden Smith ‘16 (40), Jake Hasan ‘16 (42), Andrew Radford ‘16 (45), Connor Knoelke ‘16 (46) and Quinn Newman ‘16 (47).
