Roadrunner Recap: Lacrosse, Softball, Baseball The Boys Lacrosse Team hosted Lane Tech yesterday. JV played to a 2 – 2 tie while Varsity jumped out to an early lead that they never gave up. With the final score 13 – 8, the Roadrunners received contributions from nearly every player on the roster. The JV Softball Team defeated Benet yesterday afternoon by a score of 3 – 0. A great team effort was shown all around. Freshman Devyn Zuro pitched the shutout only giving up two hits while striking out eight. Emina Hadzic’s triple and Katie Stewart’s homerun were big hits in sealing the victory. Naz Baseball beat Marian Catholic 11-7 to improve to 16-5 overall and 4-2 in the ESCC. Naz had 11 hits led by Ryan Kramer who had 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Jake Bartels had 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Joe Nelson picked up the win in relief and improved to 2-1 on the year. Nelson pitched 4 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 run while striking out 7.
