Roads are slush covered and slick this morning, but passable. Light rain continues through the area but the temperature has been above freezing. There are pockets of standing water in low areas where snow is keeping the water from draining. State, county and local highway crews are working the roads this morning to make your morning commute as safe as possible...please do your part. The Travel Advisory remains in effect for Wayne County roadways. Take it slow, easy on the brakes and steering, allow plenty of following distance from the car ahead, and you will get where you need to go this morning. Here is the latest update on the Winter Weather Advisory: ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... * HAZARD TYPES...ICE ACCUMULATIONS. SLEET AND SNOW WILL MIX IN AT TIMES WITH THE FREEZING RAIN. * ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE TO TWO TENTHS OF AN INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE. MINOR SLEET ACCUMULATION WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL GENERALLY BE LESS THAN AN INCH. * IMPACTS...TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES ARE EXPECTED DUE TO SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS.
